In-House UK Tax Manager

For someone looking for their first move in-house from practice, or as a step up from another in-house role, this job is really appealing.

As part of a small tax team within the UK arm of a multinational manufacturing group, you will support the Head of Tax with all the UK tax affairs of the group’s affiliates in the UK. The group has grown its UK business significantly over recent years and with it the level of transactions and cross border activity. There is a wide spectrum of business across the UK including a large degree of inter-company trading where strict group transfer pricing guidelines must be followed.

You will manage the tax compliance of the group which predominantly covers corporate tax, but there will also be interaction with other taxes such as VAT and employment tax. If you have had any exposure to tax issues post Brexit, that would be really helpful.

It is anticipated that you will be ACA and / or CTA qualified with at least 5 years’ experience. The role offers challenging work to get your teeth into and, as number 2 to the Head of Tax, there is the potential for succession planning for the right person.
