This highly reputable, global business has an excellent opportunity for an International Tax Manager to cover a maternity leave. The position will report to the Head of Tax and will be based in London. You will undertake responsibility for the following areas:

* Plan the repatriation of foreign cash and profits via dividends and inter-company lending
* Provide tax input to the Treasury department and foreign subsidiaries for funding requirements, considering foreign exchange exposures and applicable thin capitalization regimes
* Manage withholding tax treaty applications
* Ensure sufficient transfer pricing support for inter-company interest rates when loans are advanced or renewed
* Monitor compliance with tax filing and payment deadlines by the group's subsidiaries. This is likely to involve changing the software tool which is used to assist this
* Hold regular discussions with the finance teams of the group's foreign subsidiaries to identify any changes in business that may have a tax impact. Liaise with them regarding tax authority audit enquiries
* Project manage internal legal entity restructuring (eg mergers, liquidations, refinancing) involving legal and accounting colleagues
* Assist on tax aspects of acquisitions and disposals.

Suitable candidates will ideally have experience in:

* Cross-border tax issues in a corporate context, including acquisitions. This may be from a UK tax background or from in-depth knowledge of another country's tax system
* Ability to communicate with colleagues in other departments in head office and in the businesses and with external advisors
* Strong analytical skills and problem solving capabilities
* Able to manage projects as required
* Flexible approach with a "can-do" attitude

This role will be for 12 months and will include a short handover period. Candidates will be availale to start in January/February 2023.
