M&A Transfer Pricing LER Tax job Global Entity Remote working 6 - 12 months

Your new company
My client is a global leader in marketing and procurement services to a portfolio of clients. This is a Global Company with over 160 entities world wide. They are under taking a tax project involving mergers and acquisitions, transfer pricing, and legal entity rationalisation. Office attendance can be as minimal as once per fortnight. This project could last up to 12 months

Your new role
You will

* Assist with the coordination of tax advice and tax actions as part of the internal group restructuring
* This includes the transfer of shares, trade and assets and mergers across the EMEA region.
* Attend a variety of project calls to police the various business workstream actions to make sure plans are being followed to ensure tax efficiency
* Follow up with external tax advisors for any approved change in plans or new restructuring steps.
* Deal confidently with queries that arise and identify potential issues with new proposals.
* Take a lead on organising tax procedures within the tax team, the accounting teams looking after tax locally (globally), and HR/payroll/employment taxes (globally), and actively writing up relevant policies and procedures.
* Put together control and risk management documentation
* Assist with other ad hoc pieces of work
* Work with other members of the tax team, producing presentations for internal training and updates.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have previous experience in a similar role. M&A experience is crucial. You will have the ability to produce or describe workflows in a simple format, supported by relevant procedure documentation. You will be able to spot gaps in controls, suggest efficiencies to help with LER and be confident in dealing with internal and external parties.

What you'll get in return
You will receive a day rate dependant on experience. Flexible working and hybrid working options are available. Offices are close to the major cities across the UK and attendance can be in any office as little or as much as you like, preferably a minimum of once a fortnight (this to be more often in initial phase and onboarding). Immediate start is preferable (Jan 2023)
