Tax Manager (FTSE-250 Pharmaceutical Software)

A FTSE-250 Software business with close-ties to the Pharmaceutical sector are looking to hire a Tax Manager, to manage their UK and EMEA Tax matters. This is a newly created role reporting into the Group Tax Director and is within a team of four. The company have offices in Reading with a flexible working policy (two days a week in the office).

This is an incredibly varied role, building off your experience in Corporation Tax with opportunities to get involved in projects such as a new ERP roll-out, a large, upcoming acquisition and assisting with the recruitment of a VAT Analyst. This would be a great first or second move in Industry for anyone with UK Corporate Tax experience.

Example Responsibilities:

• Ownership of UK CT Compliance for a small number of UK entities. Oversight of International Compliance across EMEA, working with localised advisors
• Work closely with senior Tax and Finance management on implementation of tax strategy
• Researching and updating the Group on current and up-coming Tax legislation that may impact Group operations
• Forging and maintaining close relationships with external advisors

Ideally:

• ACA, CTA or ACCA qualified with good UK Corporate Tax experience
• Strong attention to detail backed up with up to date technical knowledge on current and future legislation
• Good communication skills, able to quickly build relationships and breaking down complex tax matters in layman terms
