Germany is one of the largest markets in this global pharmaceutical company and the Tax Manager, Germany, will advise on the company’s tax position in Germany and pro-actively manage the relationship with the German tax authorities on a federal, regional and local level.
There will be a focus on tax compliance, tax accounting and managing tax audits. The role also advises the Head of Finance Germany and actively educates business partners on relevant changes in tax rules with material impact on the business. Other duties include oversight of Austria.
You will need to have solid German corporate tax (at least 5 years) as well as tax accounting (ideally IFRS) from either a Big 4 firm or the in-house tax department of a multinational company. SAP experience would be an asset but this is something that can be learned.
This is a great opportunity to take ownership of the tax position in Germany for a market leading, global business. It is a very exciting time to join a strong global tax department.
