About the role

Manager, Tax Reporting, Tax department UK.

You will be delivering accurate tax data to the Head of Tax Reporting and other tax/finance stakeholders. The responsibility of monthly, quarterly and annual tax reporting numbers will lie with you and your team - this includes tax forecasts for defined entities and also assessing the tax accounting implications of transactions and the impact of legislative changes in the US and the UK from a country and group tax reporting perspective.

Key Accountabilities

* Responsible for operating an effective tax reporting model to deliver accurate tax data to internal and external stakeholders
* Manage the tax input into the Group's budgeting and forecasting processes, modelling the Group ETR and cash tax forecast
* Provide technical input on GAAP tax conversion matters
* Considers the tax and tax accounting implications of new legislation as well as new or amendments accounting standards
* Manage the Group's transparency and CbCR reporting process (with appropriate support from the Tax Operations team)
* Ensure Tax SoX controls are operated during the year end group tax reporting process and prepare documentation for internal and external auditors
* Interact effectively with colleagues in Group Finance and the external auditors on all group tax reporting matters, after proper consultation with the Head of Tax Reporting

About you

* In-house experience in managing the global tax reporting process for a large multinational with a UK/US focus; or experience of working within a Big 4 tax reporting function, managing the global tax reporting processes of large multi-national companies with a UK/US emphasis
* ACA or equivalent
* Experience in interacting with multi-functional teams (Tax and Finance)
* Excellent numeracy, technical tax, and accounting knowledge
* Experience of UK and US and other multinational Tax issues from a tax accounting standpoint
* Strong interpersonal skills with strong oral and written communication skills. Communicates with impact, in a way that is open, honest, consistent, and clear

What you'll get

A competitive salary between £60,000 - £75,000 - dependent on capability
As well as your base salary, you will receive a bonus of up to 15% of your salary for stretch performance and a competitive contributory pension scheme where we will double match your contribution to a maximum company contribution of 12%.
