Interim VAT Manager Financial Services

A well known global Financial Services Organisation is looking for VAT Manager for 6 months, possibly longer manage advisory and compliance oversight within the team, and work on specialist projects. You will be a self starter and able to get stuck in quickly to the role

The role

* Provide advice across the business, working with stakeholders throughout the organization
* Work with and oversee the VAT compliance with sign off capability
* Oversee work undertaken with the Big 4
* Manage and initiate VAT reclaims across the UK and other European jurisdictions
* Be up to date with Partial Exemption
* Engage with the business to ensure VAT knowledge up to date
* Manage internal controls, ensure these are up to date and regularly maintained
* Keep up to date with legislation and other changes impacting Indirect Tax

About you

In order to succeed in this challenging role, it is expected that you will have:

* Good VAT knowledge in the FS sector, previous Big 4 FS teams also an advantage
* CTA or equivalent desired
* Excellent communication skills - oral and written - ability to explain VAT issues to non VAT people in a concise and understandable manner
* Be able to manage projects
* Attention to detail

6 months FTC, London, Salary £80,000 - £120,000
