Direct Tax Manager

Purpose of the role

Managing various corporation tax matters, with a focus on international tax matters and ensuring corporation tax obligations are met and risks are minimised

Key Responsibilities

§ Support on accurate and timely filing and payment of non-UK corporation tax returns working with local finance teams

§ Maintaining a framework to support corporation tax compliance in all non-UK territories in which operated

§ Keeping up to date with cash tax forecasting in relation to non-UK corporation tax and approving such cash tax payments

§ Assisting on compliance with worldwide transfer pricing obligations and providing transfer pricing guidance to finance teams in line with group transfer pricing policy e.g. Masterfile and local file documentation, country by country notifications

§ Preparation of the group country by country report

§ Assisting on external and internal tax reporting in relation to corporation tax matters

§ Preparing the UK CFC analysis

§ Providing support on other overseas tax matters (e.g. audits, etc) working with local advisors and finance teams

§ Business partnering with non-UK finance teams and keeping up to date on tax matters in relevant jurisdictions

§ Supporting the Direct tax team on other UK corporation tax matters

Key Attributes

* 5 years experience of corporation tax including international tax
* ACA / CTA or equivalent qualification
* Experience in using Microsoft Office applications
* Excellent all-round communicator
* Experience of SAP/Hyperion/BPC accounting systems would be beneficial
* Motivated and driven individual with a willingness to learn and "can do" attitude
* Strong analytical skills and eye for detail
* Team player and confidence to build productive relationships with Finance teams in different countries and other business colleagues

Relationships

* Reports to Head of Direct Tax

* Works very closely with wider Group Tax Team, Finance and other internal stakeholders
