Bespoke financial planning organisation looking to recruit a newly created stand alone Group Tax Manager.

Your new role

Responsible for creating and overseeing an in-house tax function for my client, a bespoke financial planning organisation. You will play a vital part in developing and implementing the tax strategy of the Group. Working closely with existing external advisers, as well as internal stakeholders across the finance function, the Group Tax Manager will be responsible for the management of all group tax issues.

Responsibilities:

* Oversee delivery of Group and Company tax returns including analysis and understanding of the final returns, explaining any risk in the return to management;
* Prepare tax provisioning and supporting disclosure for Group consolidated and entity financial statements;
* Creation of robust system controls to provide the correct output for local compliance;
* Integrate newly acquired firms into Group tax reporting framework;
* Develop and manage Group Payment Arrangement and QIPs;
* Manage central PAYE Settlement Arrangement and employee related tax issues;
* Advise on and implement Group VAT strategy;
* Assess tax implications from M&A due diligence findings.

What you'll need to succeed

* Qualified in Tax or Accountancy with minimum of 5 years PQE;
* Experience working in a tax role within financial services;
* Experience working in a Group consolidation tax role;
* Highly professional manner, acting with integrity;
* Enthusiastic, positive, and proactive attitude;
* Adaptable to change and ability to work in an agile environment;
* An accomplished problem solver who can work through complex issues;
* Results orientated with a high level of accountability and ownership with a results driven mentality;
* Excellent time management, ability to plan and prioritise work effectively;
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills;
* Capable and confident working either independently/remotely or contributing as part of a high-performing team.
