As a Tax Accountant you will be be reporting to Group Tax Director and working closely with the group's CT Manager and the global finance teams and be responsible for assisting with the UK and international tax compliance and tax reporting across the group.
The responsibilities will include:
* Preparation and submission of UK tax computations and returns
* Developing and leading Country by Country reporting
* Review of overseas tax returns, tax reconciliations, and tax notes and balances in accounts
* Group tax reporting - current and deferred tax provisioning across the group, analysing and advising on current and deferred tax account balances, and discussing double-entry and tax journals
Knowledge & skills:
* A qualified tax professional or accountant specialised in corporate tax, with a sound knowledge of UK corporate tax compliance for companies and UK groups, tax reporting under FRS102, and international tax compliance reporting and provisioning;
* Two to three years of experience in UK and international corporate tax and applying this in a commercial environment;
* Experience in mergers and acquisitions, corporate interest restriction calculations and working with large UK businesses;
* Strong MS Excel and analytical skills.
* Strong communication skills, written and verbally - to build relationships with colleagues around the global group;
The ideal candidate will therefore need to be a self-starter with a good level of experience in Excel tax accounting processes and have a track record of delivering detailed reports efficiently and accurately and finding and developing process improvements.
