Purpose of the role:
* To produce & maintain tax policies, associated controls & tax computations in adherence with tax legislation & transfer pricing rules.
* To undertake tax research of potential new markets & business areas to determine preferred operating structures & tax implications.
Your role will include, but not be limited to:
* To produce accurate UK tax computations, including R&D tax credit calculations, analysis of fixed & intangible assets, & assessment of P&L cost eligibility to meet year end, budget & annual filing deadlines
* To review & consolidate Group year-end tax data & draft statutory tax notes
* To ensure corporate compliance with transfer pricing guidance & legislation, to include:
* maintenance of masterfile, worldwide documentation & intercompany agreements
* assessment of business changes & update of Group policies / pricing
* liaison with Accounting teams on required process & benchmarking revisions
* To research new business areas & operational changes to assess impact on tax & filing requirements
* To support overseas finance managers on tax matters, including local tax audits
* To liaise with external tax advisors in each jurisdiction who provide technical advice
* To create & maintain tax policies & controls compliant with legislation
* To support continued enhancement and development of effective tax reporting and compliance controls, including SOP's
* To monitor external tax and accounting developments, assessing implications, and keeping up to date with tax legislation in the global market
* To undertake/support adhoc data analysis & production of management reports to support Business needs
