A really exciting opportunity has arisen to join an international FTSE100 retail organisation on an interim basis as the Indirect Tax Manager. The role is predominantly managing and overseeing compliance for the organisation with oversight and management of two VAT specialists. A great role to get stuck into, and 100% remote working.
The role:
* Oversee and manage the Indirect Tax reporting for the organisation, including timely submission of returns
* Manage and supervise two VAT specialists, including development support
* Act as a trusted business partner for local accounting and finance teams, advising on the implications of business decisions
* Oversee VAT and processes and systems, helping with improvements
* Work with IT department to support on financial systems for VAT reporting
* Manage local audits or enquiries
* Keep up to date with legislation changes, new taxes and help shape the business' response to these changes
About you:
* VAT technical knowledge, with Indirect Tax knowledge across all areas
* Retail experience a bonus
* SAP and Excel experience
* Build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders
* Be technically and legislatively up to date
* Experience managing external audits and working with tax authorities
* Good communication skills
Interim role £300 - £400 PAYE day rate
