A truly unique tax role on the interim market for a Tax Accountant to utilise their tax skills and to apply their keen commercial and business accumen in this tax job.
Joining a highly respected in-house tax team and a business who are going through tremendous growth, particulalry through the pandemic, this role is truly varied. The projects have arisen from Brexit, investment into the finance and tax IT systems, and investment into the tax function as a whole.
Examples of the projects include:
Corporate tax projects - mapping of current tax processes and discussing with the team on how to improve, to then re-map and implement changes.
VAT projects - pushing forwards system streamlining and development in relation to Brexit issues. This involves heavy utilisation of IT and close liason with the finance team who prepare the VAT returns.
Other projects - transfer pricing and liaising with the Advisors on the information requirements they have; looking at tax relief claims on capital allowances, amongst others.
To be considered for this role you will have a corporate tax and/or VAT background with good Excel and IT skills. You will have the interest and show the initiative to take a project and push it forwards.
