In-House Tax Assistant Manager – Manchester - Salary paying £35k - £45k plus £5,600 car allowance, Bonus, pension scheme and 25 days holiday
Based in Manchester, due to expansion our client is seeking an individual to join their business as a Tax Assistant Manager.

THE JOB:
Supporting the Head of Tax and Tax Manager, this is an opportunity for a Tax Assistant Manager to be responsible for overseeing the Group’s tax compliance obligations and managing the Group’s tax cash flows. The role will encompass a mixture of tax compliance, tax planning and system improvements.

Main Responsibilities:
• Responsibility for overseeing tax compliance across the Group, including corporate tax and VAT
• Preparation of corporate tax disclosures in the consolidated Group accounts and in the UK statutory accounts
• Obtain information required by external advisors to prepare the UK corporation tax computations
• Support Technical Heads with R&D claims and coordinate with external advisors as necessary
• Technical review and preparation of the UK Group’s CFC report, CIR calculations and capital allowances claims
• Monthly tax cash flow management and preparation of the Group’s tax cash flow forecasts
• Coordinate with Financial Controllers to ensure the UK Group is compliant with Making Tax Digital
• Liaise with the Group’s Treasury team to ensure appropriate tax treaty clearances are in place
• Assist the Head of Tax and Tax Manager and help with ad hoc queries

THE PERSON:
The ideal candidate will be newly-qualified ACA/CTA and looking for their first time move into Industry. You will have a strong technical knowledge of the UK corporate tax compliance process and UK tax accounting. A good understanding of international corporate tax principles and VAT is ideal alongside strong IT skills and proficient use of Excel and Microsoft Office.
