One of our mid-tier global consultancy clients is keen to speak to corporate and international tax specialists at manager level who are looking at a promotional move or current junior level Associate Directors who are keen to progress and establish their brand in a specialist corporate team.

This role is based in the London office but our client is taking a refreshing approach to agile working in that employees are able to choose their ideal office working days to suit their client needs.

The role deals with multinational clients across a range of sizes and sectors and your role as an Associate Director is predominantly advisory but will involve limited compliance review. Clients include FTSE companies, AIM listed companies, and private equity backed as well as privately owned businesses (you need not have dealt with all types of client).

A key attribute of the role is maintaining and developing client relationships and advising on corporate planning and restructuring projects both in the UK and internationally.

To apply, you must be able to demonstrate the following:

* Strong corporate tax compliance experience and evidence that you have worked on a number of assignments in the UK and internationally
* Experience of tax audits under UK GAAP, IFRS and US GAAP
* Corporate tax advisory and compliance experience on a range of clients
* Experience of working on a team that delivers commercial advice on due diligence, tax structuring and international cross border solutions
* Experience of working with more junior staff to ensure timely project delivery
* ACA and / or CTA qualified

The successful candidate will have the following responsibilities (this is not an exhaustive list):

Regular communication with Partners and Directors on tax planning and strategic tax issues pertaining to clients.

Identifying new business opportunities arising on existing and new clients.

Reviewing and developing the work of Assistant Managers and Managers to ensure the delivery of high quality work to clients.

Developing your personal brand and a network internally and externally so that you can progress to a Director level role

Responding in a timely manner to client issues and maintaining regular contact with clients on all aspects of client service.

Coaching and developing more junior staff.

This is a new to market role and my client is keen to have conversations with mid-senior to senior corporate tax professionals. This role is with a firm recognised for supporting career progression at all levels and it offers a supportive environment on which to work on household name clients on technically challenging tax issues. This role will perhaps suit someone in the Big 4 who is keen to find better progression and the scope to build their own personal brand more quickly.

If this role sounds of interest or if you would like a confidential conversation around the market and your tax career, please contact Sally McIntyre-Brown on 0207 332 2452 or on sallymcintyrebrown@brewermorris.com

Please note our advertisements use PQE/salary levels purely as a guide. However we are happy to consider applications from all candidates who are able to demonstrate the skills necessary to fulfil the role.
