Interim International Tax Manager

Pure Search are currently working with an innovative Global Insurance company to secure an international tax manager for an initial 5 month contract. The role is broad and will cover a gap during ongoing permanent recruitment. There is potentially the option of temp to perm for the right candidate as well.

Duties include:

* Manage the quarterly and annual reporting process (UK and US GAAP)
* Reconcile deferred tax assets and liabilities and calculate valuation allowances
* Prepare notes for inclusion in the group accounts
* Manage and ensure all UK, European and APAC corporate tax returns are submitted on time
* Review of UK tax computations prepared by the Assistant Tax Manager
* Ensure European tax compliance is prepared, reviewed and submitted adequately
* Liaise with overseas advisors as and when required
* Review intercompany restructuring plans and assess for UK and EU tax impacts
* Provide support to the M&A team for due diligence work as and when required
* Ensure adherence to Group Tax Policies and Group Tax Risk Policy
* Manage SAO process and documentation
* Supervise and develop Assistant Tax Managers

Requirements:

* Good tax knowledge of UK GAAP and UK Statutory reporting requirements
* Excellent knowledge of UK Corporation Tax, an understanding of international tax issues
* Understanding of US GAAP and US reporting requirements, highly desirable
