Joint Venture, U.S. Tax Director (Remote, UK)

Blackden Consulting has been briefed on a unique joint-venture, seeking a UK/US Tax Director opportunity in the UK. The role is to assist with building and launching a client's premium U.S. tax offering in the UK alongside the Founder of the firm.

THE OPPORTUNITY

This is an opportunity for a UK/US Tax Associate Director or Director to join a well-established US tax firm with an excellent reputation in expat compliance and advisory work. The position will be similar to a joint venture; our client will cover ALL the costs involved in growing the UK operation (back office, tax prep resources, insurance, software, etc). You'll have the support of an experienced team of tax preparers to assist on a day-to-day basis.

Your responsibility will be the ground-up building of the UK/US tax business, bringing in new clients, servicing existing ones, and working closely with the Founder to develop the strategic direction. Remuneration will be a mixture of a salary and profit share as the UK operation expands - a structure open to discussion. This is a remote role that can be carried out by someone living in the UK, preferably in London.

You'll get full autonomy with guidance to expand as you see best.

REQUIREMENTS

- US: qualified US CPA, Enrolled Agent or JD UK: ATT or CTA
- 10+ years individual US expat tax compliance and advisory experience
- Located in the UK, although this position can be carried out remotely

It's rare that such an opportunity comes about for a Director or Associate Director to join an established brand and grow out a UK operation.
