VAT Principal, Digital Services Organisation, to £75k + bonus + shares

Advisory role with a leading global digital services organization

Our client is a leading global digital services business which has engaged us to appoint a VAT Specialist on a contractual basis of 12 months. This is predominantly an advisory role, with an emphasis on EMEA VAT, and will require a highly engaged and technical individual. This is a fast paced, growing business and is a commercial role providing advice to the business from a VAT perspective.

The role

* Provide technical advice to business units on EMEA VAT issues
* Keep abreast of changes in legislation and communicate this effectively to stakeholders, in order to ensure business risk exposure is reduced
* Ensure tax risks are managed and mitigated where appropriate
* Be able to communicate changes to Indirect Tax to non VAT members, and keep commercial teams abreast of changes
* Provide ad hoc support to other tax team members where required
* Be able to take ownership of work, develop an approach to problem solving, and be hands on.
* Have skills and knowledge around cross border, digital services and EMEA VAT

About you

* Professional qualification advantageous - CTA would be good
* E-commerce experience desirable
* Be able to work in a fast paced environment with multiple stakeholders
* Excellent technical ability in VAT
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
* Quick learner with a positive attitude and solid professionalism

12 month FTC £75,000 plus 10% bonus, benefits and equity
