Description

As leader of the Corporate & Business Tax function at Mercer & Hole, you will join us and set the future vision for the team. We recognise that corporate tax is an area where the right candidate, who shares our Values and has significant experience with OMBs, can truly engage the C&B Tax team and craft their way to success by servicing our clients.

This career chance has arisen due to a planned retirement at partner level, and so it is a unique opportunity to embrace the legacy left, but to also bring your own views to the firm. We want an individual who will put forward their ideas of how to adapt and thrive within the business community. This will therefore appeal to either a partner looking for that chance to reach the pinnacle of their career by leading his/ her own department; or for a more junior partner/ director who has a real demonstrable strength in leading and developing a successful team.

You will work closely with the partners across the different offices but be ideally based from our flagship London office. Many of the C&B team sit within our Milton Keynes office, and so you will travel there regularly as well as to our other office locations of St. Albans and Rickmansworth.

Profile

You will be highly accomplished, with both ACA/ACCA and CTA qualifications originally; and with a proven track record of engaging and understanding your clients. You will be of a high calibre, capable of enthusing a team to deliver creative solutions to our clients but with an easily accessible, pragmatic way of delivery. With this combination you will contribute to our commercial success by building clients' trust in us in providing straightforward advice.
