Indirect Tax Lead --- Multinational Company, Paris

Our client, a large & very successful company based in central Paris, is looking to appoint someone to take ownership of global indirect tax issues. This would be a great opportunity for a VAT Manager / Senior Manager looking for an opportunity to own & take the lead on all indirect tax matters.

The Indirect Tax Lead will be accountable for managing the indirect tax activities of the group and leading an existing indirect tax team. The position is responsible for ensuring VAT compliance, working on process improvement projects & VAT automation projects, dealing with any controversy & VAT issues, setting VAT strategy, delivering high value advice to the business to mitigate any risks & providing support on customs matters. You need to be able to deal with complexity, multiple stakeholders & manage people.

This position needs an experienced VAT professional operating at Manager / Senior Manager level either in a major firm or in the Tax Department of a sizeable multinational. Having customs experience would be a great advantage. Fluency in French and English is a must. It will suit someone who is energetic, proactive, hands-on and with strong business partnering skills.
