Our client is a growing group with a global brand. Based in Yorkshire, this is a 12-month contract to cover the maternity leave of the tax manager. Providing a broad range of exposure, this role will include a 1-month hand over period and report directly into the Head of Tax. Ideally to start in early March.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the UK corporate tax compliance process, preparing and reviewing returns alongside the tax accountant and external advisors.
- Assist with quarterly and year end reporting, ensuring tax relevant documents are prepared and submitted.
- Review UK VAT returns prepared by the VAT Accountant.
- Assist on an ad hoc basis with on going tax and finance projects.
Requirements:
The ideal candidate will be ACA/ACCA qualified, preferably with a tax qualification. The ability to “hit the ground running” and the confidence to provide input and sound advice will be key to this role. People management experience would be beneficial.
There is flexibility to WFH 1-2 days per week however must live close to the office. There is also a very high possibility of this role becoming permanent as they continue to grow.
