Based in London, this is a rare opportunity to join a growing investment group with diversified assets predominantly focused across Europe and the US.
It is a newly created role, reporting into the CFO and working within a small finance team (and being the only dedicated tax person). It’s an entrepreneurial, supportive and highly commercial environment.
You will take responsibility across all areas of Tax (domestically & internationally). A willingness to be hands on is important as you will lead on all compliance aspects and recognise how important this is to get right. The core focus however is on tax structuring (both in relation to the Firm and the Fund’s investments through the complete cycle) as well as reviewing transaction models. Furthermore, you will contribute towards the global tax strategy as well as keeping abreast of legislation from a risk and optimisation perspective.
As the role will involves delivering tax related material for board and other meetings, excellent stakeholder and communication skills are important. Strong academics are also essential and ideally you would have gained experience working in both practice and in-house (for a private equity/investment management/real estate business). Applications from practice with relevant sector exposure will also be considered and this role will suit both tax accountants or tax lawyers – but strong numeracy skills are critical either way (there will be tests at interview stage!).
