Senior Tax Manager - International Tax

A well known international firm is looking for a Senior Corporate Tax manager to join their group. You will report directly to their Head of Tax and you take a lead from a Corporate Tax lens's on all international projects coming through to the team.

This role can be London based (in HQ) or Edinburgh. If London based, you must be comfortable in engaging with the finance team in Scotland who will be aiding you to meet complex demands for tax reporting, compliance, planning, strategy and controversy. A strong communicator and getting the best out of a remote team in this instance is incredibly important.

Otherwise the firm in question is looking for a person with an ability with proven experience in dealing with multiple countries across taxes and ideally come armed with Transfer pricing & Structuring/M&A experience.

The company is a complicated Partnership structure so experiences with LLP's would be advantageous but not necessary.

As the Senior Corporate Tax lead you will be

- Leading financial planning, accounting and tax compliance activity and maintaining effective relationships with the tax authorities.
- Working to structure transactions and operations in a tax-effective manner, mitigating tax risk, complying effectively with tax laws and taking into account the prospect of change.
- Tax risk oversight, including maintaining regular communications on new legislation, business changes, tax authority engagement and tax audits, providing support and guidance where appropriate e.g. in managing relationships with external ad visors.

For this role in-house or practice background is fine but a willingness to be hands on, oversee Corporate Tax but appreciate Indirect Tax & Partnerships issues is a must.
