A leading firm with a market leading insolvency team is sourcing for a client facing Tax professional with a proven track record of transaction and restructuring within a UK context to support a growing practice.
This opportunity affords the new Partner the opportunity to work on the UK's Leading Restructuring projects without the standard market restriction caused by audit rotation.
Your purpose is to support and work the market with a team of individual rated number one in the market within restructuring. You will work across a variety of corporate tax advisory projects including restructuring, & re-organisations. Typical projects include transaction structuring (both domestic and cross-border), group reorganisation, contingency planning (development of the 'Plan B'), distressed debt advisory, and ultimate group rationalisation on wind-down.
You will also oversee:
* Structuring transactions for maximum tax efficiency, including business acquisitions and disposals, pre-sale restructuring, debt-for-equity swaps and pre-pack administrations
* Preserving tax attributes
* Identifying cash opportunities, e.g., identifying and expediting tax refunds
* Advising distressed debt investors seeking to consolidate, restructure and derive value from the underlying assets in those portfolios.
The role also involves corporate tax management and compliance including advising and providing ongoing compliance to Insolvency Practitioners in formal insolvency situations.
