This market leading multinational company has an opportunity for an experienced Senior Tax Manager or Tax Director, to join the headquarter and take a lead in a newly international tax focused role.
The business needs a European Tax Leader to lead a newly created team of two (Corporate Tax Manager and Transfer Pricing Manager) both of who work on pan-European business support projects.
This is the leadership role leading pan-European business support requiring engagement with business stakeholders, including senior board members of the local legal entities and business leaders, to embrace change. Work consists of cross border tax structuring, business transformations, tax planning, providing operational tax advice to the business, transfer pricing, tax audits, M&A and restructuring advice. There is no compliance or reporting done by this team. The team will help facilitate others to work more efficiently.
The centre of gravity is Germany, as this is the main hub for Europe, so it would be helpful to have a strong German tax technical background (Steuerberater highly beneficial) as well as international tax experience. The responsibilities are broad and challenging with a view to providing an interesting long term career for an ambitious tax professional.
Fluency in English is essential, whilst other languages are advantageous. Enthusiasm and passion for Tax is essential.
