Permanent Tax Senior opportunity based in Carlisle.

Your new company
A reputable and established firm of Accountants are seeking a Tax Senior on a full time permanent basis.

Your new role
As a key member of the Tax team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional care to clients, with key duties including: Carrying out tax returns and computational tasks for client allocation, taking accountability for clients financial affairs, including personal and corporation tax; process capital gains tax; train and support others in tax returns and computational tasks, delegating as appropriate. You will provide technical support on technical matters, apply basic principles of inheritance tax, and build up relationships with HMRC, customs and other relevant third parties, taking responsibilities for timely returns.
You will be responsible for maintaining accurate client records, ensuring policies and procedures are adhered to in-line with current regulations and legislation's, and you'll be a key point of contact for correspondence between clients, ensuring all associated administration is completed

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a sound working knowledge of income tax, corporation tax and will have the ability to demonstrate a thorough understanding of capital gains tax computations and reliefs, taking responsibility for the allocation and management of your work. You will be an excellent communicator, with the ability to forge strong working relationships with clients, colleagues and external parties, prioritising your work to meet tight deadlines. A team player, you will have a strong commercial acumen and awareness, and you'll be fully compute literate with a good working knowledge of Excel.

What you'll get in return
This is full time position, working Monday - Friday, however there is the opportunity for flexible working.
A salary of between £34,000 - £38,000 dependent on skills, experience and qualifications, with potential for overtime.
Up to 30 days holiday plus Bank Holidays.
5% employers pension contribution; 4% employee contribution.
