We have been assigned by a global accountancy firm who seek to hire a US funds tax assistant manager or new manager. They are seeking a motivated individual to join a newly established and rapidly growing US tax practice in the Cayman Islands. Group focus is towards the hedge fund and private equity space, but duties may include corporate, individual, insurance and withholding taxes from time to time. You should be a self-starter, technically adept, and personable. The firms clients consist of predominantly financial services entities – captive insurance and hedge funds.
You will be preparing and or reviewing tax returns and supporting tax workpapers/analysis for US investor reporting for hedge funds and private equity client base in accordance with laws and regulations. You will also be expected to build relationships with clients and provide planning, consulting and technical expertise.
You will need to be a US CPA, Enrolled Agent, Canadian CA, ACCA qualified or hold an equivalent qualification. You will be expected to have at least 3 years experience within US tax with a strong focus on US funds, partnerships or corporate exposure.
