US Individual Tax Associate

Education

We require an accounting background. The candidate needs have obtained a Bachelor’s degree in the field of Accounting and a Master’s degree in Taxation is preferred.

Work experience

The candidate needs to have experience in cross border US individual tax compliance, foreign disclosures and experience in various areas including global tax minimization for individuals, PFIC’s and expatriate and alien taxation. Furthermore, experience with US tax compliance including Forms 1116, 2555, 8621, and 8833 is required. Our candidate needs to have at least 2 years of working experience with an accounting firm with a specialized US international tax compliance department located in the USA, Canada or Europe.

Responsibilities

You will support managers on US compliance matters and international tax planning issues. You will prepare tax returns and interact directly with clients. You will be required to manage completion of multiple projects to meet statutory deadlines and collaborate with peers.

High level of responsibilities includes Federal and State tax compliance for individual US citizens, green card holders, visa holders or nonresidents.

Requirements

Solid technical US tax knowledge, highly competent US tax professional
Ability to work with a global team
Native English speaker or fluent in English
Excellent communication skills, dedication to high client service standards
Working experience with CCH/Wolters Kluwers tools would be an asset
