A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Senior Tax Analyst to join a global chemical company in their central London office.

The ideal candidate will be a qualified tax analyst who has previously gained experience in a multinational organisation. Working within a small team based in the UK the role is a part of a much larger global department and the candidate will be required to interact and liaise with colleagues around the world.

The candidate will be comfortable working on their own initiative to achieve objectives and deadlines relevant to the role requirements and business needs in a timely and accurate manner.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Preparing the UK corporate tax returns including the group's parent's tax return and other filings that are needed to be compliant with local tax regulations
* Support the Tax Accounting group in their quarterly tax provision process through preparation and review of quarterly tax provisions (US GAAP and IFRS), accompanying working papers and technical memorandums, as well as journal entries for the UK entities
* Participate in the full tax life cycle (tax planning, reporting, compliance and enquiries/discussions with local tax authorities) in the UK and other jurisdictions (Sweden and AFMEI (India, UAE, Egypt, Turkey))
* Participate in tax planning projects with opportunities to develop through technical research and presentations to Tax leadership and executive management
* Lead the annual UK CFC analysis
* Lead projects to improve the tax reporting and compliance processes and software tools
* Travel to and work with colleagues in the Rotterdam office when appropriate

* EDUCATION & LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
* These duties do not represent an exhaustive list and it is expected that the role will adapt to meet the needs of the department and Company by responding to challenges in a proactive and effective way as required.
* ACA or ACCA qualification
* Educated to Bachelor or Masters Degree
* Fluent in English - verbal and written

* WORK EXPERIENCE:
* At least 3 years' experience of working for a multinational company would be beneficial
* At least 3 - 6 years' experience working with a Big 4 or a 2nd Tier firm and in a large corporate tax environment
* Experience with tax accounting under US GAAP and IFRS
* Experience in preparing large corporate tax returns

* SKILLS:
* Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken
* Good analytical skills, numerically very strong and experienced in process management
* Works well with others
* Works well with minimal supervision
* Ability to work in a fast-paced environment which requires prioritization and ability to multi-task
* Highly self-motivated; takes initiative; identifies and addresses issues; works efficiently with attention to detail
* Experience with Microsoft Office software products (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
* Ability to work within a multinational environment
