As an experienced Tax Lawyer within this Group Tax function you will provide tax advice to guide product development and ensure new products and transactions meet rigorous approval criteria. The team is crucial in the development of internal initiatives and projects, including group reorganisations, mergers & acquisitions, complexity reduction and other transactions for the corporate.
You will be pivotal in co-ordinating and leading the companies key projects from a Tax point of view, whilst influencing and guiding the business through complex issues and critical business decisions.
This opportunity will allow your private practice training to be utilised in the best possible manner, your insights and commerical skills to shine and more importantly allow your career to grow and adapt in an ever changing tax landscape.
Within the role some of your key objectives may be to:
* Providing tax advice and support to front office teams and infrastructure functions in connection with UK Region tax matters
* Reviewing new products and transactions and considering them for approval, in line with applicable internal policies
* Providing advice and assistance on everyday ad hoc matters, such as International Swaps and Derivatives Association documentation, loan agreements (including Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA) language), tax residency and substance, etc
* Coordinating and assisting in connection with matters such as complying with Her Majesty's Revenue & Customs information requests
