Expatriate Tax Manager, Guildford

This boutique firm, who are well known for providing a high level of service to their clients, are looking for an Expatriate Tax Manager to join them in a newly created position in Guildford.

This firm specifically focused on providing tax planning and compliance services to individuals moving to and from the UK and assists employers with the tax administration of their Global Mobility programs. Their private client services include non residents, High Net Worth individuals, non domiciles and professional sportspersons.

This is an opportunity to join a business that will allow you the autonomy to shape your role and work with your clients in your own style. The role will have a mix of both compliance and advisory work and you will be involved in developing and mentoring junior staff.

Key Responsibilities

* Build working relationships with clients and other advisers and provide high levels of client service
* Participate in winning new work by proactively managing existing clients and identifying new opportunities and be involved in new client proposals
* Review of UK tax returns. Completion of complex UK tax returns, tax equalisation and hypothetical calculations
* Managing an interesting and varied portfolio of clients including individuals and corporate assignees
* Advising companies and HR professionals on issues affecting their expat populations including employment contracts, social security issues
* Coach and mentor junior members of the team and provide technical supervision of work

Key Requirements;

* ATT or CTA qualified
* Strong tax technical skills
* Experience of working in a global mobility/employment tax client focused role
* Ability to build strong client relationships
