Management Accountant

My client is an International Entertainment company who are looking for a Management Accountant to join their Finance team. This is a great opportunity to work in a vibrant and lively environment reporting directly into the Financial Controller. As the Management Accountant you will be responsible for all financial processes, in addition to taking on other responsibilities.

Responsibilities & Duties

* Complete monthly P&L and Balance Sheet Management Accounts, prepare commentary against budgets/forecasts to review with the management team and department heads
* Take ownership on delivering timely and accurate Balance sheet recs
* Support completion of quarterly financial accounts
* Assist in the preparation of the annual financial statements
* Deliver weekly reporting and analysis of the departmental performance to the management team
* Key role in ensuring that customer data captured is accurate
* Support FP&A in monthly forecasting and in annual budget preparation
* Play a key role in the implementation of a new SAP finance system
* Prepare VAT returns for the Company, ensuring that VAT is dealt with appropriately across the group
* Produce bank recs and assist preparation of group cashflow forecast
* Support year end audit by preparing audit information and dealing directly with external auditors
* Take on AP/AR responsibilities as required

Key skills and experience

* Degree Educated (2:1 or above)
* Part-qualified ACCA/CIMA
* Experience in Microsoft Great Plains and SAP
* Experience producing management and statutory accounts
* Experience with budgeting and forecasting
* Good knowledge of VAT and experience in producing VAT returns
* Well organised, strong attention to detail, tenacious, hits deadlines
* Strong excel skills
