VAT Manager, London

Are you a CTA qualified (or qualified by experience) VAT specialist who has worked with a broad range of clients spanning a number of different industry sectors in your career to date?

Do you have a keen eye for detail, good verbal, written and research skills and the ability to provide VAT advice as well as managing the VAT compliance aspects of client work, such as reviewing complex VAT returns?

This VAT Manager role is approximately 60% advisory and 40% compliance work, and will involve working closely with clients and handling their VAT affairs, including liaising on their behalf with HMRC when necessary, conducting ‘health checks’, attending VAT inspections and other meetings.

This medium sized firm of Chartered Accountants is looking to hire someone with impressive VAT technical and interpersonal skills, to take on a VAT role with plenty of autonomy, in a small but successful VAT team, with good quality client work from the beginning.

Perhaps you are currently working for a Big 4 or large mid-tier accountancy firm and want something a bit different without having to sacrifice quality client work? Alternatively, you may be an experienced VAT specialist with HMRC and wanting to move into the commercial world.
