Tax Risk Governance Manager (Life tax) - In House - London, to £500 per day

Our client is a leading Financial Services firm in London looking to hire a contractor to join their tax team in London.

In this role one of the main responsibilities are to ensure that all oversight tasks are completed in line with the service level agreements, all procedures have been followed and all errors have been re-mediated. You will also be responsible for managing staff workload and development. & you will be responsible for organising and attending regular meetings with the client whether face to face or by conference call. Ensuring any queries raised as a result of the meetings or adhoc queries are answered per agreed timescales

* Lead and motivate staff
* Actively monitoring and managing the relationship with the teams that the Life Tax Team performs oversight for
* Co-ordinate and implement training and development activities
* Provide regular and frequent team briefings to the team
* Perform and/or monitor quality and internal controls
* Plan and manage the production process and the effective utilisation of resources with the support of the Taxation Manager
* Review corporate documentation on processes, procedures and controls
* Monitor errors and potential breaches
* Participate in the development, testing and implementation of new systems and products
* Act as focal point for contacts and meetings with other departments and external contacts such as custodians, trustees, investment managers, auditors etc, providing technical expertise on the service provided
* Ensure the line manager and others, as appropriate, are kept aware of all issues/problems/queries/work in progress
* Keep up to date with legislative and regulatory changes affecting the business

YOU

Experience of working in life fund taxation/fund administration/fund accounting or a similar environment. MCH/Equity-e knowledge preferred
