As well as being a leading global practice, our client stands out on a local level. Their large corporate team in the South East works across the region on clients including UK listed groups, multinational enterprises and private businesses with a strong emphasis on UK inbound clients.
They are looking for an ACA/CTA qualified corporate tax specialist to join the team in the Cambridge office; Cambridge is a key growth area for our client and the team offers significant career development opportunities at the senior level. Moreover, the team and wider firm have a keen commitment to flexible working so if you have any concerns over balancing work and domestic responsibilities, please do not let these put you off applying.
The successful candidate will manage their own portfolio of clients; these clients will be existing clients so you must be comfortable in client facing situations and building on effective working relationships. The core of the role will focus on tax advisory services but there is a significant tax structuring, international tax and transfer pricing work to get involved in, should you wish. Ideally you will have had previous involvement with multi-national businesses and advising on international tax strategies; this may include tax planning and tax structuring advice on cross-border activities, group reorganisations, refinancing and corporate simplification projects. Moreover, you will be heavily involved in coaching junior members of the team, working closely with them on client facing projects.
As well as being ACA or CTA qualified, to apply you must have experience of advising on M&A transactions but if you have not recently worked in practice, candidates from an in-house tax background will be considered. Experience of managing and delegating work within a team context is a prerequisite.
