THE ROLE
Working within an extremely strategic, global tax team, you will be involved in VAT planning and documentation for both new initiatives as well as on-going business activities covering primarily France, Italy and Spain (with future scope including Middle East and Africa). This position will lead the day-to-day VAT effort, working closely with senior business stakeholders to structure and understand transactions and restructurings. In addition, responsibilities include VAT technical advice with a strong focus on tax controversy and audit defence. This position is not directly involved in day to day compliance but is responsible for delivering the planning, real time coordination, and communication of various tax-related projects whilst collaborating with business partner contacts and senior members of the global tax team.
ABOUT YOU
Professionals will have approximately 12 years European VAT experience within either an international advisory firm, multinational, law firm or Investment Bank. You must be able to demonstrate a successful ability to lead complex projects, including working well across cross-functional teams and will ideally be fluent in Spanish, French or Italian in addition to being business fluent in English.
