Your new company
Hays is delighted to be working with an instantly recognisable and highly reputable brand to recruit for an Indirect Tax Manager. You will be part of an established, multi-national tax function of 30 professionals, of which approximately 8 are based in Scotland. Given on-going business success and the growing tax team, this is a newly created role, for a VAT expert to lead and manage the compliance, work and assist on advisory projects. With a custom-focused ethos, this is a forward thinking organisation which will allow you to make an impact with the freedom and support you require.

Your new role
You will be responsible for managing VAT compliance and reporting across various countries. This will include line management responsibilities for 4 members of staff as well as working with the wider Tax Team to deliver efficiently on projects. You will also engage with tax authorities, drive improvement initiatives in relation to processes and support the implementation of transfer pricing positions.

What you'll need to succeed
As the successful candidate, you will be an experienced tax professional with a proven track record of delivering VAT compliance work in accordance with deadlines; exhibiting in depth knowledge of Indirect Tax. Being CTA qualified and/or with previous in-house experience will enhance your application. You will have people management knowledge and have excellent communication skills.
