Senior Tax Manager Job, Big 4 CA Firm, Edinburgh or Glasgow, generous salary & benefits package

It is one of the leading professional services networks in the world, delivering high quality Tax, Assurance and Advisory Services for a variety of clients, for example over 100,000 private and entrepreneurial businesses as well as a substantial number of the Global 500. Given successful business development and work being moved from London to the Scottish offices, this firm is recruiting for a Corporate Tax Senior Manager. Working within the Private Business Tax Department, a team which supports clients identify and reduce tax risk, adhere to compliance, implement strategies, resolve disagreements and manage tax accounting and reporting delivery, you will work with clients from private businesses and private private equity backed groups to partnerships and high-net-worth individuals.

Your new role
As the successful Senior Tax Manager, you will manage a strong team, providing high-quality advisory services to a range of clients. Your focus will be largely in relation to advisory work, however, certain compliance work may arise from your client management responsibility. You will cover a wide range of projects, including transactional work, financing, restructuring, and UK and international tax issues, as well as other corporate tax issues. You will work alongside specialists in capital allowances, transfer pricing and R&D, and be expected to contribute to the professional development of more junior members. Further to this, you will build and maintain your network of contacts and instigate pro-active business development activities.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong UK corporate tax knowledge complimented by a CA, CTA or equivalent qualification, with a proven track record of advising companies on UK and international tax issues. You will have experience of managing a team, demonstrating excellent communication and organisational skills. You should be an engaging, all-round business adviser who relishes working closely with clients and colleagues in various departments.
