Mixed Tax Senior / Assistant Manager, Reputable CA Firm, Stirlingshire, £dependent-on-experience + benefits

Your new company
Hays is partnered with a local office in the Stirlingshire area of a national Top 15 firm of Chartered Accountants in order to assist in the appointment of a Mixed Tax Senior or Assistant Manager. Experiencing ongoing growth and with a loyal and diverse client base, this is a great opportunity to join the firm at an exciting time. A forward-thinking, innovative and compassionate firm, they are part of an international alliance across 100 countries, whilst maintaining strong local ties. Treating their employees as individuals, they pride themselves on collaboratively building careers with their staff, and offer flexible and remote working. Given this, this particular opportunity is available on a part-time (4 days a week) or full-time basis.

Your new role
Working in an office of ten individuals as part of the regional team with over 40 staff, you will be responsible for a mixed tax portfolio made up of compliance and ad-hoc advisory opportunities. You will manage client relationships, across HNWIs, directors, OMBs and limited companies; being on hand for any ad-hoc queries. You will ensure computations and returns are submitted efficiently to HMRC and delegate work upwards and downwards in accordance with its complexity and your abilities. You will liaise regularly with your counterparts in accounts and draw on support from tax colleagues in the other offices.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong background in both Personal and Corporate Tax compliance and demonstrate success in managing a large portfolio. You will be self-sufficient and able to work successfully to your own initiative as well as part of a team across multiple offices. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to manage client expectations and organise your workload.

What you'll get in return
In addition to receiving a competitive salary, you will gain an annual bonus and be enrolled on a pension scheme. The firm also offers an array of flexible benefits, including health care, gym membership, and critical illness cover. With 25 days holiday, there is also the option to buy further annual leave. Standard working hours are 9am to 5:30pm, but flexible working arrangements can be made.
