In-house Tax Manager Job, Manufacturing, Glasgow, £43,000 - £55,000, full-time or part-time (12 months FTC)

This opportunity is initially a 12 month fixed term contract due to maternity leave but offers a great opportunity for an individual wishing to operate within an in-house tax function of a instantly recognisable market leader with international reach; invaluable experience for every corporate tax specialist.

Your new role
Reporting into the Head of Group Tax, you will deliver a comprehensive and high-quality tax services to the business and shareholders, focusing on compliance and reporting. A broad role, you will manage and prepare year-end tax accounting and reporting for both consolidated and statutory accounts, complete tax provisions, computations and returns, liaise with HMRC, and monitor international tax compliance reporting. To do so, you will communicate regularly with various business areas and overseas Finance Directors. You will also support projects, offering necessary advice, and carry out the required research and analysis for corporate, employment, sales and indirect tax issues. Lastly, you will also be involved in process improvements, such as compliance software and KPI reporting.

What you'll need to succeed
You will be a corporate tax specialist with a proven track record delivering compliance; likely operating at the level of Manager or Assistant Manager. You will ideally be CA, ACCA or CTA qualified. You will demonstrate examples of delivery work and results in a timely manner with strong finance and business acumen. You will have excellent communication and analytical skills.
