VAT Assistant Manager

One of largest indirect tax teams in the world seeking VAT assistant manager for their Manchester office

Your new company
A national Indirect Tax practice, one of the largest in the world with continuing growth plans, seeking numerous VAT professionals from assistant manager to senior manager level. This firm provides the highest quality advice, develops opportunities and provides solutions to VAT issues across all industry sectors. This firm are not only part of a national practice, but part of a Global network of indirect tax experts, which means their clients are an often large multinationals with complex VAT issues. In the Manchester office, the VAT team has 25 members of staff made up of 2 partners and 3 directors.

Your new role
Vast majority of work will be consultancy/advisory based. Therefore typical projects may involve, property transactions, impact of changes in respect to Brexit, Making Tax Digital, way in which technology changes the way we approach Indirect Tax, high value advice on the VAT aspects of an acquisition or corporate restructuring and developing new ideas and opportunities. This role will be client facing and there may be opportunity to travel overseas if required.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be a successful applicant for this position, you will possess experience of working within VAT from within professional services, HMRC or industry. You will be ACA/CTA qualified with strong interpersonal skills and business acumen. You will have excellent client facing and problem solving skills alongside the ability to
establish and maintain close client relationships.

In return for your efforts you will receive a salary of between £29,500-£36,000 dependent on entry level and experience, plus 25 days annual leave plus bank and option to buy or sell holidays.
