Leading global engineering firm seeking Group Tax Accountant for their office in Preston | £35K

Operating across 8 disciplines; Oil & Gas, Marine, Nuclear, Construction, Defence, Transport, Renewable Energy and Ports, our client have provided unrivalled products and solutions across the globe since they were established 170 years ago and are seeking a Group Tax Accountant.

Your new role
Joining the in-house tax team, you will be reporting to the Chief Accountant. You will be responsible for the preparation and management of all corporation tax compliance and reporting for the group. As the Group Tax Accountant, you will conduct the preparation and submission of the Group Corporation Tax returns, preparation of statutory accounts tax provisions, quarterly tax reporting submissions and liaising with HMRC regarding all group corporation tax matters.

What you'll need to succeed
The successful applicant will have an accounting and or a tax qualification, as well as a strong academic background. Previous industry experience, working within a professional services firm or large corporate would be desirable. Due to the broad and varied nature of this role, the ideal candidate will be commercially minded as this role demands a high level of commercial awareness. Alphatax & Alphatag experience are a huge advantage. The individual must be a good communicator, technical, and capable of influencing at all levels inside and outside the Group. You will be self-starter with robust planning and organisation skills.
