Indirect Tax Manager

An opportunity has arisen for a VAT Specialist to look after UK real estate advisory and related VAT compliance obligations for an investment manager's real estate business. A qualified tax advisor or accountant, with strong VAT knowledge for a partially exempt business would be the ideal profile.

Key responsibilities
Monitoring and reviewing: quarterly VAT numbers; EC Sales list entries; the Robotic Process Automation solution and the special purpose vehicle returns it produces; the Annual Adjustement or Capital Good Scheme
Advising on UK and international Real Estate acquisitions and disposals
Preparation of voluntary disclosures and assisting with HMRC queries
Providing periodic training and on-going support to finance and investment managers with regards to VAT issues
Identifying and implementing improvements to the VAT process
Identifying opportunities for increasing the group's VAT recovery
Keep up to date on VAT changes and Case Law developments

Key skills/experience
A qualified tax advisor or accountant, with strong VAT knowledge for a partially exempt business
Someone self motivated, diligent, detail orientated, analytical, comfortable with accounting principals, flexible, proactive and with first-class communication skills
