Transfer Pricing Specialist required for FTSE 100 group with flexible work between Essex and London offices

Your new company
You will be working in the In-House Taxation function of a FTSE 100 company and leading provider of product assurance and testing for customers. This is a global company which has a presence in over 100 countries.

Your new role
The role can be flexible and can be based between the companies offices in Essex, London and regionally.

As a Transfer Pricing Specialist you will report directly to the Regional Head of Tax. This role would suit a proactive candidate that has strong inter-personal skills, transfer pricing experience and strong project management and communication skills.

You will be involved in the overall TP strategy including risk analysis and decision making; preparation and maintenance of the TP masterfile; management of all aspects of transfer pricing engagements; analysis of results; consider potential for and manage progress of any APAs; assist Regional Heads of Tax and local finance teams with local TP requirements and documentation; assist Regional Heads of Tax and local finance teams with TP related tax authority enquiries and challenges; monitor transfer pricing developments and advise internally; prepare and hold regular presentations for tax department and internal stakeholders; support the tax provision process. The TP specialist will be responsible for updating and maintaining the program for monitoring and controlling TP implementation; monitor and communicate TP legislative changes and practice; manage recharge and IP fee calculation and process; develop relationships with internal and external stakeholders including professional advisors; manage all aspects of UK Corporate Tax, including the review the UK tax corporate tax computations and returns - CFC, capex, double tax relief claims, with the aim of improving the quality and speed of process; manage Group Tax Reporting including the year end and interim tax reporting process; prepare year end current and deferred tax consolidation schedules for the Group and UK entities including the tax disclosures included in the consolidated and entity accounts; actively review and monitoring of UK tax risks and controls, ensuring UK technical memorandums are maintained including UK DTA analysis, capex, interest and loss restriction etc; lead the day to day relationship with HMRC and point of contact for our Customer Compliance Manager; management of tax advisory projects i.e. streamline UK/UK inter-company balances and UK legal entity rationalisation; assist with both UK indirect and employment tax queries; ensuring policies and procedures associated with UK taxation are relevant and up to date; building relationships and delivering tax advice to the UK business operations; responsibility for ensuring employment tax obligations are met by Finance and HR teams, such as the PSA, P11D's and share option reporting, and participate in special projects.

What you'll need to succeed
It is preferred that you are a qualified accountant (ACA) or Charted Tax Adviser (CTA) with a strong background in Transfer pricing. You will be confident and able to promote the groups tax function internally across business units and also externally by maintaining good working relationships with external advisers.
