Exciting opportunity to join a team led by a highly innovative and charismatic Partner.

This is a newly created role, designed to work closely with and support the Partner. It is a position of responsibility and brings with it great opportunities for progression as the team continues to build on its success.

The role is two-fold. Firstly there is a back at the ranch role, including supporting other Partners in the firm with ad hoc employment tax queries and issues from their clients. This is very much an area that can evolve into your very own micro business, which in turn lends itself to the required credibility for promotion to the next level in due course. Secondly there is a hands on role out with the Partner, targeting and supporting fast growth businesses and their owners with all manner of required advice. As you take pride in completing each piece of work to an exacting high standard, you will also have the ability and gravitas to leverage off this success to win further work for both the team and the wider firm. Of great importance therefore will be your ability to build relationships and engender trust with your clients and stakeholders.

This opportunity has a very open and broad based spec, from straightforward employment tax compliance queries through to getting stuck into more challenging and complex projects.

There are no massive egos here; everyone is ambitious and enthusiastically committed, but not arrogant. The Partner sees this role as their right hand person, somebody who will add to the team and set the bar high for future recruits. As such, personality fit will be important to achieve maximum synergies through effective teamwork and operating styles.

This will suit someone with solid tax technical skills who is able to give practical technical advice, is commercially savvy and astute and enjoys a challenge. You will not be fazed by picking up work if the Partner is unavailable and running with it, perhaps expanding an initial conversation with a client into a meeting, a proposal and beyond. However, whilst the role offers accountability, it also comes with lots of support from the Partner and wider team. It is just as important to have the confidence to seek help when needed so any issues can be met head on in a timely manner.

You will ideally have a minimum 5 years’ UK employment tax experience and be motivated by being part of a firm that actively wants to succeed and achieve. This is an opportunity to join a fast growth business that is changing all the time but still possesses traditional values where staff are supported. Work life balance is very good, busy season notwithstanding, and the firm fosters a genuinely friendly and collegiate environment.
