Your new organisation is a long-standing and leading independent Chartered Accountancy firm which provides comprehensive tax and accountancy services to a variety of businesses across a range of sectors throughout the country, from HNWIs and sole traders to medium-sized businesses. Given internal developments and dramatic growth, Hays is partnered with the firm to seek an accomplished tax professional at Manager, Senior Manager or Director level who will develop to Tax Partner.
Your new role
Heading up the Tax and VAT departments of the firm, consisting of approximately 10 individuals, you will manage the operational running of the team and allocation of work to ensure deadlines are met efficiently. You will review the more complex computations and planning work to guarantee it is accurate and of a high quality, and evaluate processes and procedures in order to implement improvements. You will lead and arrange training,which is carried out by a combination of external courses and internal seminars. Further to this, you will support the Partners in relation to complex tax queries resulting from general practice work. You may also be responsible for a small portfolio of clients of your choosing, and will manage client relationships
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a proven track record within the tax profession; managing staff, portfolio allocation and client relationships. You will be CA qualified, or willing to complete the qualification prior to Partnership being offered. You will be organised, communicative and wanting to lead change in an ever-developing remit.
