VAT Accountant (In-house, FTSE-250), Thames Valley

A well known technology group in the Thames Valley are looking to hire a VAT Accountant for a newly created position.

This group has a range of products, creating interesting challenges across supply chain both domestic and internationally. You will be joining an established team of three to focus on the VAT compliance, with a view to developing into the full VAT manager role.

Responsibilities:

- Production of VAT returns, utilizing data as prepared by the finance team and ensuring accuracy
- EC Sales List and Intrastat reporting
- Assisting the Head of Tax with answering group queries on indirect tax matters
- Assisting with CT compliance when the team is under pressure (no previous experience required)

Requirements:

This is a development role and as such, the requirements are flexible. An ACCA/ATT/CTA qualification would be beneficial (or PQ), funding will be provided as part of the package to study further in a qualification of your choice.

Experience of VAT compliance is very important, exposure to CT compliance would be beneficial but not required.

You will be using large volumes of data and as such must be practically minded and have experience of working with excel.

This is a very close knit team so you must be prepared to work collaboratively from day one.
