Transfer Pricing - Assistant Manager

Wilkinson Partners are working with a Big Four firm who are looking for a skilled Transfer Pricing Assistant Manager in their London office.
The Transfer Pricing team is highly dynamic and a very successful area of our client’s tax business. The Transfer Pricing team in this firm includes a mix of tax professionals, accountants and economists with various backgrounds from industry, practice and HMRC.

The responsibilities of this role will include:

o Developing and maintaining client relationships
o Interviewing clients to understand activities and value drivers for our client’s businesses
o Determining key industry features across varied industries that influence the pricing of transactions
o Benchmarking market prices across industries and transaction types
o Documenting pricing policies and drafting transfer pricing reports
o Supporting clients with tax authority enquiries and Advance Pricing Agreements
o Involvement in global documentation projects where you will prepare transfer pricing reports for clients across multiple jurisdictions
o Coordinate with other teams from the firms, including, but not limited to, international tax and indirect tax, on a range of topics
o Coaching and developing junior members of staff
o Assisting with the team’s business development and marketing initiatives

The right candidate will have the following skills:

o Strong people skills for engaging with clients and team members
o Excellent communication and project management skills
o Experience of preparing transfer pricing documentation, tax value chain analyses, bench-marking, supporting with tax authority enquiries/Advance Pricing Agreements, project management and managing junior team members
o Sound judgement, including the ability to identify and evaluate risk issues and know when to involve others
o Analytical skills and a commercial approach to resolving issues and know when to involve others
o Good commercial awareness and a desire to develop a technical specialism
o ACA, CTA, Masters in Economics (or equivalent)
