Tax Partner Designate - Superb opportunity to get strategic and operational responsibility

Your new company
A well established and successful boutique firm based in central Cardiff, which has almost doubled it's turnover in the last 2 years. Employee focused and with a drive more towards client satisfaction than time sheets, they have taken the professionalism of larger firms and added a more human touch. Now is the perfect time to add a Tax Partner to their top table.

Your new role
You will grow and manage the Tax department from it's current headcount of 2. There is still a requirement for some compliance support on more tricky work, but the majority of your focus will be on advisory work and looking for opportunities to add value to your clients. There is regular work covering EMIs, IHT, Restructuring and HMRC Investigations. The aim is for you to also provide strategic and operational support to the Directors for the firm as a whole, with supported equity purchase your goal.

What you'll need to succeed
You should be a qualified Accountant who is a Tax Specialist and be comfortable with both Personal and Corporate Tax. There is the need for someone with a can do attitude who is hungry to grab the opportunity and take the team forward, rather than just make sure Tax returns are completed on time.

You might be at Management level in a larger firm but finding your route to Partnership closed off, but have real aspirations of running a business as well as being an Accountant.

What you'll get in return
A strong package plus genuine progression to Partner level, including supported buy in. The biggest USP of this role is how quickly you can get a genuine voice within a successful Practice and help shape their future.
