Corporate Tax Manager Job, world-renowned CA firm, Glasgow or Edinburgh, £depending on experience + benefits
Your new company
Hays is exceedingly proud to be partnered with one of the world's largest consultancy firms, which is fast growing and inspiring, in order to recruit for a Corporate Tax Manager. With presence in over 100 countries and having won numerous awards across Tax, Audit and Accounts, including the Firm of the Year, they are a first class organisation to work for. Given the scope, they work with tens of thousands of clients spanning public and private sectors, and almost all industries. Taking a collaborative approach, they advocate the sharing of ideas, responsibilities and reward. Undoubtedly this is a remarkable opportunity for an experienced Corporate Tax Manager to gain "the best of both worlds" by joining a medium-sized Business Tax Team - offering relative autonomy, encouraging independent thinking and involving little hierarchy - whilst being a part of a substantial, vibrant and highly reputable firm with variation, high-quality work and progression.
Your new role
As the successful Corporate Tax Manager you will lead client relationships, including a portfolio of medium to large businesses, and alongside the senior team, provide innovative solutions to various advisory projects and a wide range of technical issues. You will ensure a smooth compliance process while supervising a small team; supporting and championing their development and work. Developing additional business is an important responsibility, hence you will identify opportunities with existing clients and win new clientele through networking.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be ACA or CTA qualified with ideally 3 years post qualification experience in a Corporate Tax position, inclusive of advisory responsibilities and successes. Being part of a team and firm with challenging and exciting growth plans you will be equally motivated and ambitious. Further to this you will demonstrate genuine passion for clients, the wish to be distinctive, adaptability and critical reasoning. For an individual not exactly meeting this criteria, there is an opportunity to join as an Assistant Manager with the view to being promoted promptly following proof of technical abilities and client engagement.
What you'll get in return
Not only working for a highly reputable and award winning international consultancy business, you will receive a competitive salary of between £40,000 and £50,000 plus benefits. These include private medical and dental care, a pension scheme with an employer contribution exceeding 8%, child care vouchers and cycle-to-work. Further to this, you can buy up to 10 extra days holiday.
